Open-weight models: what “open” actually means here

“Open” covers three different things: open weights you can download, an open-weights licence with revenue limits, and a model that is merely available through an API. This page keeps them separate.

Available now

Muse Spark Open (Meta, 15 October 2026) — open-weight, via Meta AI. FLUX 3 Image Klein (Black Forest Labs, 15 October 2026) — open weights under the FLUX Kommunity License, reported to allow free commercial use below $5 million annual revenue; check the licence on Black Forest Labs’ official website for your own band.

Promised, not yet released

Mistral Large 4 weights were promised by the end of October 2026 in the official announcement — Mistral AI official announcement.
